(Oklahoma City) The Oklahoma City Geological Society Inc. together with the Geological Library are relocating to the First National Center, 120 N. Robinson in Downtown Oklahoma City. They will occupy approximately 13,000 square feet on the 9th floor of the Center Building. The Geological Library was originally located in the Cravings Building from 1966 until 1978 at which time it was moved to the Park Harvey Building and has remained there until this move. Since it's beginning the Geological Library has grown into one of the premier repositories of geological and well data relating to the petroleum industry in the southwestern United States. During it's 80 year history the Oklahoma City Geological Society has been closely associated with the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and was one of its earliest member societies. The Oklahoma City Geological Society has 1,018 members, of whom have 827 located in Oklahoma, 121 in Texas, and 70 are in 19 other states. The Geological Library has 712 members with 101 members outside of Oklahoma. The Landlord, First National Center, LLC was represented by Laurie Siegal. The tenant, the Oklahoma City Geological Society Inc., and the Geological Library were represented by Don Faulkner, of Wiggin Properties, LLC. |
